Position Overview:
RealNetworks seeks a motivated Technical Support Engineer with background in Physical Access Control to remotely support SAFR™ (Secure, Accurate Facial Recognition) product line. SAFR is a visual intelligence platform specializing in face-based computer vision optimized for both access control and surveillance applications. In view of SAFR’s unique market position and the outstanding potential of growth, RealNetworks is now seeking a customer driven, individual contributor to provide post-sales technical support to our customers wanting to deploy SAFR.
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will apply a technical software support background and existing understanding of Access Control Systems to provide customer-facing, post sales services, for a combined hardware and software solution, including advisory, installation, configuration, customization and troubleshooting. This role provides a unique opportunity to grow as our product becomes widely adopted in diverse markets.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Building strong knowledge of SAFR’s combined hardware and software solutions for physical security access control and video surveillance markets.
- Providing technical expertise to external customers in areas related to SAFR product functionality (e.g. Access Control, SIP Intercom, VMS Integration, RTSP video streaming, etc.).
- Assisting customer to configure and deploy SAFR applications to meet customer requirements.
- Troubleshooting issues with software and related data processing for external customers
- Identifying issues, reproduce and provide details issue reports with clear repro instructions through our issue tracking system.
- Associate’s degree in a technology or engineering-related field or equivalent
- 3+ years’ experience as a Support Engineer via email or phone for access control manufacturers or system integrators
- Industry experience with one or more of the following:
- Access Control Systems (access control panels, readers and software)
- Video Surveillance Systems (VMS) a plus. (or willingness to learn) - Experience with troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity issues
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems (Linux a plus)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
