Position Overview:

The SAFR business is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Camera Installation Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, configuring, and maintaining CCTV and IP camera systems, preferably in a retail environment. This role involves working at various heights and environments, so physical capability and a strong commitment to safety are essential. If you’re a hands-on problem solver who enjoys tinkering with technology and figuring things out in the field, this is the role for you.

What you’ll do:
  • Install new camera equipment, including mounting hardware, running cables, and connecting systems.
  • Configure and tune CCTV and IP cameras. Ensure software and network compatibility.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in camera systems and related networking equipment.
  • Support customers by troubleshooting and explaining system operation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of installations, service calls, and configurations.
  • Test camera systems to verify functionality and meet project requirements.

What we are looking for:
  • Strong electrical/electronic skills and experience with CCTV/IP camera systems.

  • Experience tuning IP cameras to ensure the best quality image for various environments. 
  • Understanding of focus techniques and the ability to modify camera image settings to determine the overall best picture quality.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and work with networking equipment.
  • Excellent, creative problem solver
  • Comfortable working at heights; ladder use required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service mindset with a focus on responsiveness.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and ability to follow protocols.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% for installations
  • Additional preferred qualifications:
    • Certifications in low-voltage systems, CCTV, or related fields.
    • Experience in retail or commercial security installations.
    • Familiarity with IP networks and system integration.
