Position Overview:
The SAFR business is looking for a resourceful and driven Account Executive to accelerate our growth in the SMB retail market. We help independent and mid-sized retailers reduce shrink, prevent theft, and improve in-store safety through highly accurate, ethical, and easy-to-deploy AI technology.
In this role, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy, owning your territory, generating pipeline through both in-person and digital outreach, and closing new business.

What you’ll do:
Territory Ownership & Field Prospecting
· Own a geographic region and operate independently as the primary in-market representative.
· Conduct in-person outreach (“door-knocking”) to retailers several days per week.
· Walk into SMB and independent retail stores, initiate conversations, and build relationships with managers and owners.
Pipeline Generation & Sales Execution
· Self-source the majority of your pipeline using a mix of in-person visits, cold calling, email, LinkedIn, and creative outbound tactics.
· Drive opportunities from first touch through close, including qualification, discovery, solution positioning, demos, and negotiation.
· Educate retailers on the value of our AI loss prevention solution in a clear, consultative way.
Collaboration & Insight Sharing
· Partner with leadership to refine messaging, territory strategy, and outreach experiments.
· Provide structured market feedback from retailers to influence product and roadmap direction.
· Represent SAFR at local retail events, meetups, and industry gatherings.
What we are looking for:
· 3–6+ years in outbound-centric sales (BDR/SDR, inside sales, field sales, or AE).
· Demonstrated success self-sourcing opportunities and consistently hitting or exceeding quota.
· Experience selling into SMB or owner/operator-led businesses is a plus.
· Strong ability to work independently with excellent self-management and organization.
· Clear, confident communication skills suited for conversations with both store managers and business owners.
· High level of discipline in managing time, territory planning, and sales activities.
· Proven adaptability and resourcefulness in fast-changing or ambiguous environments.
· Willing and eager to conduct field visits several days per week.
· Ability to travel within assigned region up to ~50% or as needed to achieve sales objectives.
